Our training offers

Fasting encompasses the entire person, our bodily and mental-spiritual purification. Fasting is
not a crash diet and can therefore not be taught in a short programme. For this reason, those
who accompany others in the process of fasting must be well-trained. The GGF Austrian
Society for Health Promotion is the initiator and organiser of the GGF Fasting Academy, a
certified course for fasting & health trainers, which is being carried out for the tenth time
in 2010.

The course is designed to be extra-occupational and consists of five holistic modules with the
focus on: Fasting, nutrition, exercise, healthy environment & psychological components.
As well as the personal gain, professional expertise in these areas represents a competitive
advantage for the new occupation of fasting & health trainer in the preventative sector.
In the course segment Exercise, participants of the GGF Fasting Academy also have the
opportunity to train additionally as Nordic Walking Guides.

It is open to graduates of the course to lead holiday fasting seminars independently or to
contribute to GGF network projects. The course takes place in the harmonious natural
atmosphere around the St.Georgen am Längsee Monastery Education Centre, Carinthia and in the Wilfinger Bio-Thermenhotel**** Bad Waltersdorf in the thermal lands of Styria.
